Take a break from the city and reconnect with nature for a beautiful summer day at The Yoga Garden, in the heart of the Sussex countryside, only an hour from South West London.
“I’ve now been on three of Hannah's day yoga retreats at The Yoga Garden in Sussex and wholeheartedly recommend them. Yoga will take place in a handcrafted yurt. Removable sides let the breeze waft through and allow us to connect with the wildflower meadow surrounding us. A delicious home cooked lunch will shared family style with an option to take a guided walk around the stunning local countryside, or book the Nordic-style wood-fired sauna - limited space, book early to avoid disappointment - and wild swim in the natural pond.
This intimate day retreat (12 people max) is open to all levels. A wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice in a friendly environment and get to know some like minded people.

11:00 | Guided journalling and intention setting
11:30 | Morning hatha vinyasa yoga
Playful and creative, this yoga practice doesn't take itself too seriouly - inviting you to move, sweat, stretch, breathe, and unwind. We’ll begin gently, easing into mindful movement to warm up. As the energy builds, we’ll flow seamlessly from one pose to the next, syncing movement with breath for a meditative experience.

Local, homemade vegan feast.
14:00 | Walk, sauna, swim or rest
Join our guided walk in the heart of the Knepp Rewilding Project keeping an eye out for the abundant wildlife, book the Nordic-style wood-fired sauna - limited space, book early to avoid disapointment, wild swim in the natural pond, or simply chill out with a cup of tea, reading, journalling, or snoozing!
15:30 | Afternoon yin yoga
Yin yoga is all about slowing down, softening, and surrendering. In this practice, we settle into passive postures for several minutes, allowing gravity to do the work while we gently stretch the deep connective tissues. Forget about muscle engagement this practice is all about letting go, both physically and mentally. Hands on support and massage, will be offered throughout to help you relax.

Calming breathwork, guided yoga nidra meditation and head massage with Neil's Yard Bee Lovely Lotion.
17:30 | End of retreat
*All yoga equipment provided if needed (eco friendly mats, bolsters, blankets, belts and cork blocks)

Drive | Free parking is available on site (lift shares often available with other students)
Train | Nearest station Horsham (20 min taxi can be pre booked and shared)
Accommodation | If you fancy making a weekend of it, the campsite at Kneep is gorgeous (book in advance) or there are some cute Air BnB’s, or the Crown Inn has a couple of rooms and great food!
