Sunday 16th August 2020 | SOLD OUT
I am so happy to confirm that our Summer Yoga Day Retreat can go ahead as planned on the 16th of August. Escape the city for a beautiful summer day at The Yoga Garden, in the heart of the Sussex countryside, only an hour from South West London.
The perfect opportunity to break with routine, take a breath of fresh air, and dedicate some time to reconnecting with yourself and nature.
Yoga will take place in a handcrafted yurt. With removable sides to keep cool fresh air flowing through and a wood burning stove to stay snug. A delicious plant-based hot lunch will be provided by Mini Annabel, with an option to take a guided walk around the stunning local countryside - Knepps Rewilding Project.
This intimate day retreat (running at reduced numbers - 10 people max) is open to all levels, and is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice in a small group environment.

Reduced number of students, 10 max
Safe mat set up. 2 curved rows, rather than a circle facing inwards

Summer Yoga Day Retreat | £120pp
10:30 | Welcome tea
11:00 | Morning hatha vinyasa yoga: Layer Cake
Our morning will start with a delicious flow full of balancing postures and creative transitions to keep us in the moment. The class will build up slowly, layer by layer, revealing more and more of the sequence every cycle. Revisiting postures again and again will allow us to dive in deeper every time. Finding stillness in movement as we anchor our breath to the rhythm of our practice. This class is fun, juicy and creative, with options given for all levels.
12:30 | Meditation and breathwork
13:00 | Lunch
Local, home grown, organic, vegan feast cooked by Mini Annabel. Eaten outside, picnic style.
14:00 | Walk or rest
Join our guided walk in the heart of the Knepp Rewilding Project, or relax (in the sunshine or by the fire, weather dependent) with a cup of tea, reading, journalling, or snoozing!
15:30 | Afternoon yoga: Candlelit yin yoga
In the afternoon we will slow right down and sink into the magical world of Yin. As you relax into a series of long hold, floor based poses, gravity will gently take you deep into your connective tissue and fascia, unravelling hidden areas of tension. We will play the fine balance of finding ‘the edge’ in each pose, as we work towards uniting body, breath and mind.
16:45 | The ultimate shavasana
Calming breathwork, guided meditation, yoga nidra.
17:30 | End of retreat
Home time or pitch your tent and spend the night under the stars. Knepp Safari's have wonderful camping facilities, including hot water open air baths and woodfire pizza ovens, you can book your pitch here.
“Absolutely incredible and a very special experience. There was no detail that wasn't thought of. The yoga itself was brilliant, and the added meditation, readings and gratitude sections at the end were perfectly done. The ambience was magical and I can't wait for the opportunity to take family and friends along to one of Hannah's retreats in the future. I booked the Autumn retreat the following day!” Melody
“A complete breath of fresh air. It was the most relaxing and rewarding way to get away from London and practice yoga in a beautiful setting with like-minded people and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!” Juliet
