I am writing this channeling all my optimism, and believing life will be somewhat back to normal by the summer! By then, I hope we will have the freedom to escape our city for a beautiful summer day at The Yoga Garden, in the heart of the Sussex countryside, only an hour from South West London. The perfect opportunity to break with routine, take a breath of fresh air, and dedicate some time to reconnecting with yourself and nature.
Yoga will take place in a handcrafted yurt. With removable side to keep cool and a wood burning stove to stay snug, we will be comfortable whatever the British summer throws at us! A delicious plant-based hot lunch will be provided by Mini Annabel, with an option to take a guided walk around the stunning local countryside - Knepps Rewilding Project.
In the afternoon, classical musicians and teachers Millie and Joci will be sharing an immersive sound experience for mindfulness and healing. Expect a journey through music and mantra, designed to help you connect with your higher self, and ground you in peace.
This intimate day retreat (13 people max) is open to all levels, and is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice in a small group environment.

10:30 | Welcome tea
11:00 | Morning hatha vinyasa yoga: Finding balance
Our morning will start with an invigorating flow through a series of balancing postures, with creative transitions. We will focus on finding stillness in movement as we anchor our breath to the rhythm of our practice. We will also dedicate a some time to headstand practice, breaking down the pose completely, so you can build up step by step with confidence. If you already have a strong headstand practice, we will play with some more advanced variations.

Local, home grown, organic, vegan feast cooked by Mini Annabel. Eaten outside, picnic style - weather permitting.
14:00 | Walk or rest
Join our guided walk in the heart of the Knepp Rewilding Project, or relax (in the sunshine or by the fire, weather dependent) with a cup of tea, reading, journalling, or snoozing!
15:30 | Afternoon yoga: Candlelit yin yoga
Guided by live music and soft mantra, we will slow right down and sink into the magical world of Yin. As you relax into a series of long hold, floor based poses, gravity will gently take you deep into your connective tissue and fascia, unravelling hidden areas of tension. We will play the fine balance of finding ‘the edge’ in each pose, as we work towards uniting body, breath and mind. Hands on assists and massage will be offered throughout to help you relax deeper into your practice.

Home time or pitch your tent and spend the night under the stars. Knepp Safari's have wonderful camping facilities, including hot water open air baths and woodfire pizza ovens, you can book your pitch here.
